Our Story - The Benefactresses – Les Bienfaitrices

WHO AM I?

You see that little girl just above? Well, it's me, Julia , the first of the name! Ju for short and "the pain in the neck" according to my father (I promise, I'm not that annoying). Whatever.

Chatty, funny (I didn't say that, I promise), a good-natured person, simple and loyal, but also anxious, hypersensitive, feminist, a true adventurer, passionate about reading, writing, animals, autumn, cinnamon rolls, crazy expressions, criminal podcasts, in short, and so on.

But above all, I love to create , I need Art in all its forms in my life, and to share it. That's what drives me. Sharing with others, exchanging, growing together somewhere. Sending love galore, good vibes and making others smile, I think I'm not too stupid for that. There is at least one thing I'm sure of, and it's this: I like discovering and listening to people, and bringing them comfort (is it obvious that I wanted to be a psychologist when I was younger or not?)

If I had to explain in a few words why I created Les Bienfaitrices (not easy given my love for the French language and years of “ excellent student, but too much chatter ” under my belt), I would surely say that I have always felt the need to reach out to others, to discover them, to listen to them, to share, I love talking, about life, about others, about myself (don't be surprised if I arrive on Spotify with my podcast very soon), ah and make people laugh, too (those who call my laugh a witch's laugh, I see you). As a good hypersensitive person, I see life as something quite extraordinary, so my head is full of dreams to make come true, and that's why I wanted to create candles. Not because it smells good, that vegetable wax is great... It's cool, right, let's be clear, but that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to bring love in spades, good vibes galore, and tons of smiles.

Roughly speaking

The Benefactresses were born to remind us that life is too short to live it without fun, and above all, that it is even shorter to spend it at war with ourselves and getting bored because of the opinions (and lives) of others.

My goal is this: for you to smile with all your little teeth when you discover your candles, and for you to say to yourself “damn, but she's actually right! Go smash everything and believe in me, because I'm crazy good at it!”

In short, my mission could be summed up as this: to make you smile (or even make you laugh) , to remind you to take care of yourself and to make yourself your fucking priority . The rest, we don't give a damn!
