Plant-based candles are awesome (yes, I have a slight tendency to overuse vowels when I'm a fan of something), but they can be fickle!

They, too, have memories and a memory. Just like a fragrance that evokes a special memory in us, a candle remembers the duration of its burning and adapts to it, especially from its first burn!

Avoid tunnels and extend the life of your spark plug by following these guidelines:

  • 1st ignition : minimum 2 hours
  • Other ignitions : minimum of 2 to 4 hours

By following these instructions, your candle will last at least 40 hours , delivering a powerful aroma and promising no headaches until the last spark.

Wooden wicks, on the other hand, are even more fickle ! That's the price you pay for having a micro fireplace at home.

If your wick is too high when lighting, extinguish it , cut the wick shorter and relight it. If the flame becomes too low after a while, you can extinguish the candle and remove the excess blackened wood from the end of the wick and relight. The flame should return to an ideal height. If the flame goes out or is very low and the wax is not yet melted to the edge, you can remove excess wax if it seems to smother the flame. You can use a paper towel and relight. The best would be to pour a good part of the melted wax directly onto this paper towel, cut the wick again and relight. The flame should return to a normal height. Be careful , do not remove all the wax, your flame could go out! If you encounter a problem, please contact us via our email address: Hello@lesbienfaitrices.com

Never leave a burning candle unattended to prevent any risk of fire.

Make sure to keep your candles out of reach of children and pets .

Do not light candles near flammable objects. It is also not recommended to burn your candle in a draft to avoid it falling.

Never move a lit candle. Always extinguish it first.

Our candles are made from vegetable soy wax. Despite the use of vegetable wax, it is not recommended to inhale the fumes released.

Vegetable candles are great, but very sensitive to temperature variations. Assume that vegetable wax is alive . Therefore, the ideal temperature for them fluctuates between 15 and 25 degrees. If the temperature is too high, your candle may melt very slightly, even when extinguished. Avoid direct exposure to the sun. If, on the other hand, the temperature is too cold, it may lose its color, or crystallize (which does not represent any risk for the use of your candle, but rather an aesthetic aspect, which may reveal white cracks).
