EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF YOUR CANDLE

Nothing is cozier than lighting your pretty candle, settling down under a soft blanket, and enjoying its exquisite fragrance in its stylish little pot, don't we agree? We want this flame to stay with you as long as possible, so here are your Benefactresses' little secrets to make the pleasure last! 🔥(oh, what were you thinking?)
- The first ignition is the BASE!
First lighting, first challenge! A vegetable candle is like a souvenir: it has a memory. So to prevent it from hollowing out and wasting a ton of wax (and we don't want that!), let it burn for at least two hours to even out the surface. In a hurry? Benefactors' tip: the next time you light it, wrap it in a little aluminum foil, leave a small hole so it can breathe, and the magic happens! It becomes smooth again, just like the first day.
- Cut the wick
After each use, trim your candle's wick to about 5mm. This prevents black smoke, prolongs the candle's life, and ensures a clean flame. Another tip: if the wick gets carried away and becomes a little unruly, extinguish it, trim it, and relight it. This prevents soot from escaping and prevents the flame from becoming too high.
- Avoid drafts
Candles and drafts aren't exactly BFFs. Drafts can disrupt the even burn of your candle and cause uneven wear. Always place your candle in a wind-protected area for optimal burning.
- Use a candle snuffer
Instead of blowing out the candle, use a candle snuffer to minimize smoke and odor. This also helps prevent the wick from bending or kinking. Smother the flame rather than blowing it out; it will release less black smoke and soot.
- Clean your candle
If soot residue forms on your candle container, gently wipe it with a clean, dry cloth. This will maintain the beauty of your candle.
- Recycle and reuse
When your candle is completely burned out, don't throw it away! The jar will be perfect for placing small flowers in it or even creating your own sweet message jar!
Obviously, keep candles out of reach of little hands and paws. Never leave a burning candle unattended. For more information, please consult our user guide.
In short, take advantage of your candle to relax and unwind, that's what it's for, so enjoy it!
Come on, see you soon!
With love,
Julia
